VANESSA Amorosi showed what a quality singer she is with a stirring performance of Nancy Sinatra's Bang Bang at her manager Ralph Carr's Christmas party.Amorosi belted out the song at Fog to a crowd that included Molly Meldrum, Kate Ceberano, Vince Colosimo and Paris Wells.
Meldrum told the crowd what a disgrace it was that Amorosi could not even manage an ARIA nomination in the categories decided by the music industry despite her success over the past year.
The singer is on her way to Los Angeles to write for her next album with some big names, including songwriting superstar Linda Perry who has written for the likes of Pink.

Pietersen celebrated the Ashes win having a few drinks with mates at the nightclub.
He was seen talking to fellow Englishman, rugby player Danny Cipriani, throughout the night.
Cipriani has become a regular at the club as he gets set to make his debut playing for the Melbourne Rebels next year.

ROBERTA Williams is said to have sold the pictures of her unborn baby to New Idea magazine.
The word is the deal is worth tens of thousands of dollars.
Williams is expected to give birth in January, but could go into labour early after recently spending a week in the neonatal intensive care unit at the Royal Women's Hospital.
